BMW F90 M5 / Competition Fi Exhaust (Frequency Intelligent Exhaust) high-performance valvetronic exhaust system is direct replacement bolt on system manufactured out of a high-grade T304 stainless steel that offers an exhilarating soundtrack.
The Fi EXHAUST system is designed with a valvetronic technology to control airflow, sound volume and enhance the overall performance and torque. On average horsepower is expected to increase from 5-10% after installing a full catless system, which includes a valvetronic catback and ultra-high flow downpipe.
When valves are closed exhaust gasses are routed through the muffler resulting in a low-profile comfortable drive. However, when the valves are fully open an intense and sporty soundtrack is produced.
Switching between street and race sound profiles can be done using factory exhaust/sport button or drive mode, or optional Fi EXHAUST remote control and mobile App.
The unique sound and performance for BMW F90 M5 / Competition is achieved through individually designed muffler internals that are fabricated to offer an ultimate driving experience.

The ultra-high flow catless downpipes remove restrictive factory catalytic convertor. They increase exhaust gas flow and performance gains, produce higher sound volume. And is usually recommended option going further with ECU tuning.

Race 100Cell

With the larger cells and fast exhaust flow rate, it is smooth, durable and do not have refractory wool burn-out problems. The higher the number of the cells, the smaller and denser the hole is. The higher the back pressure, the more it can enhance torque performance, while the opposite is true for increasing horsepower. Both Standard and Fi PRO control system utilize OBD connection.The standard remote provides the 3 basic functions, including OPEN, CLOSE, and Auto valving (open automatically base on throttle, rpm, or boost level). To enable the Auto valving feature, the OBDII port must be connected.
The Fi PRO control/upgrade option has a different key fob. The main features are available on the Fi PRO app. They allow the driver to control the valves and do all the valve setting directly on a mobile phone. Without the OBD connected, only the basic ON/OFF function will be functional. The Auto valving, or cold start valve position (Fi PRO feature), will only be activated when the OBD is connected.
Does the standard remote option include the OBD dongle, handheld remotes, and an electrically control vacuum module to actuate the valves on the Fi mufflers?
Both Standard and Fi PRO control kit include OBD dongle, as both kits have the Auto valving feature that’s required to connect with the OBD port to read live data from the ECU. The control kit will include a module box to send signal to soleniod to allow the vacuum to pass to the flaps or not and to turn the valves on and off.
